TECHNICAL COMMUINCATION DEVELOPER

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop technical manual documentation
  • Develop Audio / Visual training material
  • Determine the needs of end users for technical documentation
  • Study product samples and talk with product designers and software developers
  • Work with technical staff to make products easier to use and thus need fewer instructions
  • Organize and write supporting documents for products (excluding sales literature)
  • Use photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and video tools that increase understanding
  • Select appropriate medium for message or audience, such as manuals or online videos
  • Standardize content across platforms and media
  • Gather usability feedback from customers, designers, and manufacturers

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Journalism, English, or Communications

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new technical concepts and user software
  • Collaborative worker
  • Detail & accuracy oriented
  • Training Video development / editing, software screen recording using tools, such as Camtasia®
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to develop or convert help files into HTML, HTML5, or XML

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years of technical writing and content development
  • Minimum of 2 years of training video development experience

APPLICATIONS SCIENTIST/ENGINEER

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work as part of R&D team on internal development projects (about 60% of time) on new optical
  • instrumentation for semiconductor process control applications
  • Support customers as expert in use of company’s optical instrumentation and software
  • Provide training in use of instruments and software locally and at customer sites
  • Provide application/customer feedback for hardware and software improvement
  • Support training material development

EDUCATION:

  • Minimum of MS degree in Physical Science/Engineering with >10
  • years’ experience, or PhD degree with >5 years’ experience

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of semiconductor processing
  • Working experience with semiconductor process tools a plus
  • Ability to quickly learn new technical concepts, user software and analyze/interpret data
  • therefrom
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office and scientific software (e.g. Matlab, Mathematica, Python)
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • Modest travel required (domestic & international)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably in a process
  • engineering role
  • Experience in an applications engineering role (including customer training) preferred
  • Experience with plasma reactor environments preferred
